Convert and replace existing images to WebP format to improve performance in Webflow
Books with white covers can also scare you before you even pick the book up off the shelf.
Building on the recent addition of WebP image support, we’ve just launched a built-in conversion tool within the asset manager that lets you both convert and replace existing images to the WebP format.
To convert images to the WebP format and replace existing images on your site with their converted WebP counterparts, select the image(s) in the asset manager, then click the compress button at the top of the panel.
Once your images are done converting, you’ll see a notification at the top right corner of the canvas letting you know you can republish your site to push the updated images live.
And that’s it! For more details and troubleshooting in case of failed conversions, check out our article on Webflow University.
